Abbey Elias, the Nigerian singer better known as Skiibii, has come through with his latest single titled ‘CBN’.
The star-studded track — released on Friday — comprises artistes including Teni, Mayorkun, Seyi Vibez, and Reekado Banks.
In ‘CBN’, Skiibii boasts of his wealth while wondering why people question his extravagant life.
He also argues that whoever works for money should be allowed to spend it the way they like.
“To bá lọ́wọ́ je kan dá ẹ mon/ Dem wonder why I get mansion/ What am I working for/ You see my money long/ I go fly you to Paris/ Oh my love monami/ Ìwọ kò wá lọ́kàn mi/,” he sings in a mixture of English and Yoruba.
“Dem dey wonder how I spend eh eh/ J’mape efelewe/ Dem dey wonder how I spend eh eh/ J’mape efelewe”.
Skiibii gained fame in 2014 after he was signed to Five Star Music, a record label owned by E-Money.
He released a couple of songs while at Five Star Music including ‘Ah Skiibii’ — before leaving to start his own record label.
The singer has continued to enjoy fame in the music landscape with numerous hit songs including ‘Trenches’.
