Pheelz, the Nigerian producer and singer, has delivered a new single titled ‘Jelo’.
The music star announced the song’s release via social media on Thursday.
In ‘Jelo’, Pheelz collaborated with Young John, his fellow music producer cum singer.
The ‘Finesse’ hitmaker had earlier shared his process of creating the track on TikTok, where he added that the song was born out of boredom.
He also expressed that he lacked ideas for lyrics and decided to use vowel sounds instead.
“I am bored, let us make a song. I do not have any idea for lyrics, so I will just use vowel sounds like eee aaa,” he said.
The song is infused with a captivating rhythm, adlibs, and harmonious interchanges.
In the track, the music stars sing about their success story.
They also recount their past struggles and acknowledge how God has transformed their lives.
“Remember back then for Bariga, me and my n**gga dey chill with sapa, eriku po gan for the Zanga, na the music give me the liberty o, collect freedom,” the lyrics read.
“I dey f*ck life, mi o so condom and I go chop am till the kingdom come. Adupe fun Eledumare, adupe fun Olorun Oba, na Him give me the package so make nobody come dey buga.”
Pheelz is signed to Warner Records and has also received several recognitions for his craft.
He was nominated for The Headies in 2013 and 2014.
He was also put up for the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
Young Jonn, also called the ‘Wicked Producer’, rebranded as an artiste in 2022.
Since becoming a recording artiste, he has continued to deliver massive hits including ‘Xtra Cool’, ‘Aqua Fina’, and ‘Dada’, among others.
He is currently signed to the Chocolate City record label.
