Ikuforiji Abdulrahman, the Nigerian singer better known as Oxlade, has come through with his first single of the year titled ‘Ovami’.
The 26-year-old singer took to his Instagram page on Friday to put out the new track.
In ‘Ovami’, the songwriter enlists the expertise of Flavour, the music star.
Oxlade delivers his lyrics in a mixture of English and Igbo language while Flavour adds spice to the song.
“I can’t deny it is written all over me oh/ That you’ve taken all over me/ You have taken all over me/ E yee yee yee, all over me/ If you dey reason with your church mind/ You go know say you go be mine/ Cos you’ve taken all over mi oh/ Iyee ye ye, all over me,” Oxlade sings.
“Oh no no no, dem no fit look you pass/ maka ibu wuyen odogwu (because you are Odogwu’s wife)/ You have given me reason to smile/ I’m loving this girl for life/ Asama-Pete-unwayoma/ Na when I chop your olubu soup oo/ My sense don Dey lose oo/ Abi you wash and put oo/ You have taken all over mi ooo/ No need for story you be my chargie/ Ah ahn/ You make my temperature rising,” Flavour adds.
‘Ovami’ was produced by Kareem Olasunkanmi fondly called Magicsticks.
