Olamide has put out a new single titled ‘Trumpet’, featuring Ckay, the Afrobeats singer.
The music star took his social media on Thursday to announce the new song.
“New music “Trumpet” ft. @ckay_yo out now!! Run it up #SLE,” Olamide wrote.
Reacting to the Twitter post, Ckay said he had always wanted to collaborate with Olamide but “was never right until now”.
He added that it was an honour to embark on a joint project with the YBNL boss.
“Wanted to make music with @Olamide for a really long time but the time was never right until now. Exciting times! TRUMPET out nowww!” Ckay wrote.
“Honoured to do this with you.”
In ‘Trumpet’, the two singers deliver their vocals and dexterity in different forms.
“You soji o/ Soji o/ So mi so so, So mi/ I saw o/ I saw the way you were looking at me ah/ lfunaya Gyal come to my yard/ I no go tire/ Have you singing falsetto/ Babv blow mv trumpet/ Pa ra ra ra ra/ Pa ra ra ra ra,” Ckay sings.
“Ino de take bullsh*t/ No de push me/ They want to chop me raw like a sushi/ I’m not oloshi/ They want to use me/ I do my thing japa tell ’em deuces/ Abena lose it /I no want Suzy/ I’ll give you bang bang bang Femi Kuti o,” Olamide raps.
‘Trumpet’ is produced by Prime Beatz and directed by Jyde Ajala.
