Abass Akande Obesere, Nigerian veteran singer, has come through with the remix for ‘Egungun be Careful’, his hit track which was recorded 19 years ago.
The ‘Omo Rapala’ crooner took to his social media page on Friday to announce the release of the project to his numerous fans alongside a link where they can access it.
In the remix, the Fuji icon featured Zlatan Ibile, fellow singer.
“PKIst de legend Obesere x Zlatan -Egungun now out worldwide. Link in bio,” he wrote on Instagram.
The less-than three-minute track starts with energetic vibes symptomatic of the 55-year-old Fuji singer with Zlatan adding a gloss with his signature tone.
The remix for ‘Egungun be Careful’ was released less than a week after he had announced a tour of four countries for the song — amid rising rising concerns over coronavirus crisis across the globe.
Born on January 28 1965, Obesere has etched his name among indigenous music bigwigs in the country with his strings of energetic songs.
He has, however, faced criticisms from some quarters over his penchant for ‘vulgar’ songs, considered a “taboo” in the conservative Yoruba community.
