Morravey, the DMW newly signed artiste, has put out her debut extended play (EP) titled ‘Ravi’.
The artiste released the project on streaming platforms on Thursday.
The 5-track body of work includes; ‘What Is Love’, ‘High Again’, ‘Condo’, ‘My Baby’, and ‘Magician’.
‘Magician’, the last track on the EP, featured the vocal dexterity of Davido, her record label boss.
In ‘Magician’, Morravey reflects on her past struggles.
“Me before, omo/Inside life, they don’t know/Do covers I no stop/One more video I turn up/Paid mi jehjeh/See me now my own don clear/From mile 3 to Yankee/As I enter the Ama/My Alma-mater/You self you con dey wonder/” she sings.
Born Daniella Daniel, Morravey joined Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) alongside Logos Olori in March.
In April, Davido, the record label boss, revealed how he met the artistes.
The Afrobeats star said he became interested in signing Morravey after he listened to her cover of a Fireboy song on Instagram.
“The beautiful Morravey with a voice that nobody has. I was home one day on my phone watching Instagram reels,” he had said.
“I saw her singing a cover of Fireboy’s song. Her voice was so amazing and I was like who is this girl because she was not tagged on the post?
“I had to go into the comments and scrolled through over 400 comments to look for her name. I finally got her page and sent her a DM.”
