Lekan Osifeso, the Nigerian singer better known as Lojay, has put out a new single titled ‘MOTO’.
Lojay announced the release of the song on his Instagram page in the early hours of Friday.
‘MOTO’ is the third track off the singer’s highly anticipated ‘Gangster Romantic’ extended play (EP).
The singer also accompanied the song with a loved-up music video, directed by Des Gray and CreedLife.
The ‘Monalisa’ crooner described the new song as “a somber reflection on the loss of a sentimental past relationship.”
“When it’s cold and clouds are raining outside oh/ Girl I’ll bring I’ll bring a blankie your way way/ And if things so bad you’re on your last card oh/ I’ll bring I’ll bring a lotto your way way/ Even if the sun don’t shine in the morning time/ Oh I’ll chase I’ll chase the darkness away way/ So I could never understand/ You said you need time and space/ Only on the weekends/ But I listened, kept driving away way/ In my moto/ In my moto moto moto,” he sings.
Lojay started to attract attention after the release of ‘LV N ATTN’, his 5-track EP, in 2021.
Monalisa’, one of the songs on the EP, shot him into the limelight. He also enlisted Chris Brown, the Grammy award-winning American singer, for the ‘Monalisa’ remix.
He has continued to garner visibility on several charts including Apple Music, Spotify, and Shazam.
