The rapper announced the release of his sophomore project in the early hours of Friday.

With his subtle wordplay and intensive delivery of bars, Ladipoe uses the project to cement his place as one of the most prominent emcees in the game.

The body of work contains songs like ‘LORT II’, ‘Afro Jigga’, ‘Law of Attraction’, ‘Running’, ‘Love Essential’, and ‘Providence’.

The EP, which comes barely two weeks after the release of ‘Running’ — featuring Fireboy — also enlists help from Rema, and Amaarae, the Ghanaian singer.

Ladipoe, who had addressed personal issues in ‘Feeling’, raises the bar in ‘Providence’ to tackle rarely-discussed societal issues while looking at it from both gender angles.

He also touches on romantic and sexual escapades in ‘Law of Attraction’ while discussing the same theme in ‘Love Essential’.

“Ladipoe has succeeded in switching things up and changing the narrative surrounding rappers from Nigeria,” the bio for the EP read.

“His penship makes him stand out within the global rap scene and his lyrics never fail to invoke a reaction. With this EP, he believes he is crying a moment he has always been preparing for.”

Ladipoe, whose birth name is Ladipo Eso, signed a deal with Mavin Records, a music label founded by Don Jazzy, in 2017.

He has since then continued to remain relevant in the music scene with songs like ‘Feel Alright’ where he got featured by ‘Show Dem Camp’ and ‘Jaiye’, a 2019 hit single.
