Kizz Daniel, the Afrobeats sensation, has delivered two new singles titled ‘Marhaba’ and ‘We Must’.
The new tracks, released on Friday, commemorate ‘Vado at 10′; Daniels’ ten years of groundbreaking hits, global recognition, and unwavering fan support.
‘Marhaba’, produced by Dyad, Ramii and Suhel Nafar, combines Daniel’s signature sound with fresh, innovative beats, blending Afrobeats with Northern African traditional music influences.
The track promises to resonate with fans at home and globally, adding another layer to the singer’s rich musical portfolio.
The Arabic word ‘Marhaba,’ which translates to ‘Welcome/hello’ in English, is one of the most widely used expressions in Northern Africa and the Middle East. It deeply resonated with Daniel during his short but memorable time there and influenced the song’s creation.
‘We Must,’ on the other hand, is destined to become a household anthem that speaks to resilience and determination.
Produced by the acclaimed Ayzed, the song’s rhythmic energy and inspiring lyrics make it a standout moment in Daniel’s anniversary celebrations, capturing the essence of his decade-long journey in the music industry.
The new tracks further solidify Daniel as one of Afrobeats’ most influential artistes, adding depth to his already celebrated catalog.
The award-winning artiste rose to stardom in 2015 following the release of his single titled ‘Woju’.
He signed a record deal with G-Worldwide Entertainment in 2013 but left the label following a contract dispute and court case.
The 30-year-old then floated Flyboy Inc, his record label, in November 2017, but recently stepped down as the CEO.
He signed Emperor Geezy, his ex-label boss, as Flyboy Inc.’s head honcho. In March, he released ‘Thankz Alot’, his extended play (EP).
He described the EP as a “heartfelt expression of appreciation” to his fans for their support. He has also received several awards and recognition for his craft.
