Released globally on Friday, the nearly three-minute track is a potent fusion of their unique musical identities, masterfully engineered by acclaimed British-Ghanaian producer Jae5.

The song serves as a gritty, aspirational hymn centred on themes of street survival, relentless hustle, and the promise of a brighter future.

It opens with Seyi Vibez delivering a compelling, emotive verse, weaving between Yoruba and Pidgin English. His lyrics paint a picture of hard-won success and devotion:

“I’m getting rich and richer/ I’m getting rich and richer, oh baby, remember, ah/ She confirm say I be soldier/ No go leave am to dey suffer/ Before before, I been knew that/ Mami water, buy me Goyard, mami water, buy me Gucci/ I fit to buy you Birkin/ To ba farabale fun mi, baby/ I’m getting rich and richer,” Seyi Vibez sings.

J Hus then enters the soundscape with his signature raw and reflective style, offering a poignant counterpoint.

His verse delves into the shadows of past struggles and the psychological weight of ascent, questioning, “Same place that stretch that boy like yoga / No one witnessed, only Jehovah / Every day mischief, when will it over?”

J Hus, who exploded onto the UK scene in 2015 with the breakout hit ‘Dem Boy Paigon’, has solidified his status with a string of chart-topping anthems like ‘Did You See’, ‘Must Be’, and ‘Play Play’. He is celebrated for his dynamic versatility and profound artistry.

His collaborator, born Oluwaloseyi Afolabi Balogun, has similarly carved a definitive niche in the Nigerian music industry.

Seyi Vibez’s distinctive sound — a compelling blend of Yoruba lyricism and raw, street-inspired narrative — has made him one of Afrobeats’ most resonant new voices.

His journey to acclaim has not been without its trials; in a revealing moment in May 2024, he revealed that he was scammed as a 13-year-old while attempting to join Wizkid’s famed Starboy Entertainment label.
