‘Peru’ is the ‘Jealousy’ singer’s first single of the year, and it comes after the release of the visuals to ‘Lifestyle’ a track off ‘Apollo’, his second studio album.
After few hours of its release, the Shizzi-produced track, has garnered thousands of traction on streaming platforms across the world.
It has also become the subject of discussion in the Nigerian music community on Twitter, the US-based microblogging app.
Fireboy has continued to pull the strings since he joined YBNL, a record label owned by Olamide, Nigerian rapper, in 2018.
He made the headlines in February after winning five awards — including the ‘Best R&B Single’, ‘Best R&B Album’, ‘Headies revelation’, ‘Album of The Year,’ and ‘Best Pop Album’ categories — at the 14th Headies.
