Folarin Falana, a Nigerian rapper better known as Falz, has come through with ‘Squander’, his latest single.
The gifted singer announced the release of the project featuring Niniola Apata, an Afro-house vocalist, on Friday.
The less than four-minute song sees the two music heavyweights crooning about their readiness to spend any amount just to make their loved ones happy.
“You see, I am moving with a shoulder pad because I’m getting more bags but that is not bad. I’m sorry, should l turn around, nobody told me that flexing is not allowed…Nini ti de link up with Falz…call my aboki bring out the cash,” Falz could be heard singing.
‘Squander’, produced by Yung Willis, comes as a follow up to ‘One Trouser’, his single released in August.
With strings of awards and recognitions, the ‘Bop Daddy‘ singer has established himself as a household name in the Nigerian music industry for his projects often targeted at addressing societal ills.
He has also featured alongside several prominent Nigerian singers for projects mostly critical of bad governance including ‘Get The Info’, a song by Phyno, and ‘God of Men (Fake Pastors),’ by Charly Boy.
Falz was among celebrities that led the #EndSARS campaign aimed at addressing brutality and extrajudicial killing of Nigerians by operatives of the now-disbanded special anti-robbery squad (SARS).
He has won several awards including ‘Album of the Year’ at the 2016 edition of the City People Entertainment Awards.
