DOWNLOAD: D’banj finally delivers star-studded album ‘The Entertainer: D’Sequel’

D’banj, the ace Nigerian singer, has finally come through with his highly anticipated album ‘The Entertainer: D’Sequel’.

The 44-year-old took to his Instagram page on Friday to share snippets from the listening party in Lagos.

The album is a follow-up to ‘Entertainer’, Dban’j’s 2008 album.

On Tuesday, D’banj released a teaser for the album wherein Don Jazzy, his friend, was portrayed as a sniper who rescued him from an abduction.

In the 13-track project, the ‘Why Me’ hitmaker enlists the expertise of some Nigerian and international music heavyweights such as Wyclef Jean, Awilo Logomba, Youssou N’Dour, Akon, and Phyno.

Others include DJ Maphorisa, Chechi Sarai, Timaya, Kayswitch, Zlatan, Peruzzi, Bhadboi Oml and Chuchu Lee.

Songs on the project include ‘World Famous’, ‘Healer’, ‘Kala’, ‘Yours Truly’, ‘Koko’, ‘Serious’, ‘Since 04’ and ‘My Melody’.

Others are ‘Worthy’, ‘Peaky Blinders’, ‘I Am Legend’, ‘Taya’ and ‘Koko Remix’.

Last month, D’banj put out ‘Worthy’, the tenth track off the album, featuring Youssou N’Dour, the Senegalese Grammy award-winning singer, and Chechi Sarai.

He described the song as a “message of hope and unity to all Africans”.

“When we come together as one, we not only honour our heritage but also unlock our borderless potential to lead the world. The future belongs to a united Africa, worthy of her dreams and aspirations,” he said.

Olamide, the Nigerian rapper, co-wrote the song. D’banj also accompanied the release with a colourful video celebrating his African heritage.

D’banj had previously released ‘Since O4‘ and ‘Koko‘, two tracks off the album.

Born Oladapo Oyebanjo, D’banj rose to fame after the release of ‘No Long Thing’, his debut album in 2005.

With a string of awards and accolades, he has continued to make a name for himself in the music industry.
