Darkoo, the British-Nigerian singer, has come through with the remix of ‘Favorite Girl’, her hit single, featuring Rema.

The 22-year-old announced the song’s release across all streaming platforms on Friday. The original song was released on May 2, 2024.

In ‘Favorite Girl’, Darkoo and Rema croon about their admiration for a romantic partner.

“You like this high life ting, my love/ I love being your love/ I’m tryna show you off, you off/ Co-Co-Comforter/ She really that A-list girl/ She really my favourite girl/ I’m loving the way you twirl/ You twirl/ In the Maybach/She really that A-list girl/ She really my favourite girl,” they sing.

They also released a colorful video to accompany the song.

Born Oluwafisayo Isa, Darkoo delved into music at a young age and started her career as a drill rapper before she started singing.

She started gaining traction after the release of ‘Gangsta’ in 2019.

Darkoo was nominated for ‘Best Female Act’ and ‘Best Newcomer’, while ‘Gangsta’ was nominated for ‘Song of the Year’ at the 2020 Mobo Awards.

Rema, whose real name is Divine Ikubor, signed with D’Prince’s Jonzing World, a subsidiary of Mavin Records, in 2019.

Since then, he has solidified his place as one of the leading figures in the African music scene.

At the 16th Headies, he won the awards for ‘Best Male Artiste’ and ‘Digital Artiste Of The Year’.
