Patoranking, Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer, has won the ‘song of the year’ award at the MTV Music Africa Awards 2016, holding in Johannesburg South Africa.

Real name, Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, the singer’s ‘My Woman’ which was released on his “God Over Everything” album, won him the award.

Patoranking featured former Mavin singer, Wande Coal, on the winning song.

He fought off competition from several strong contenders to win the ‘song of the year’ category.
