Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, has collaborated with Joé Dwèt Filé, the French-Haitian artiste, on ‘4 Kampé II’.

The singer announced the release of the new song via Instagram on Friday while revealing that he would be taking on a new French name.

He captioned the post: “My name is now Jean Béna Dieudonné”.

Joé Dwèt started his career at a young age from church and later moved on to sing Afro-Caribbean-influenced songs.

He formed his own band named Lespada and has since released several hit tracks.

Born Damini Ogulu, Burna Boy, on the other hand, gained fame after releasing ‘Like to Party’, the lead single from his debut album ‘L.I.F.E’ (2013).

Since then, he has released seven albums: ‘L.I.F.E’ (2013), ‘On a Spaceship’ (2015), ‘Outside’ (2018), ‘African Giant’ (2019), ‘Twice As Tall‘ (2020), ‘Love, Damini‘ (2022) and ‘I Told Them‘ (2023).

He has also won several awards. In 2021, the Afro-fusion artiste won the ‘Best World Music Album’ category at the Grammy Awards for ‘Twice As Tall’.

In April, the Port Harcourt-born singer made Time Magazine’s list of 100 most influential people for 2024.
