BNXN, the Nigerian singer formerly known as Buju, has released a new single titled ‘Sweet Tea’.
The singer announced the song’s release via his Instagram page on Thursday.
‘Sweet Tea’ is the seventh track in BNXN’s forthcoming debut album titled ‘Sincerely, Benson’.
The song is a sultry Afrobeats track about a past lover’s sudden change of behaviour. BNXN also expresses his longing for their past connection.
“Oh, Aduke wa, what happened to ya? We suppose vibe together. Say you for jingi, for jingi my body,I mean, for sweet tea my body,” the lyrics read.
“Girl, I need love, no cold shoulder. We no go fit help each other. Say you for sweet tea, sweet tea my body, you for sweet tea my body.
“You don’t listen to me sometimes got me feeling like I’m just wasting my time. Pour me water to cool my mind.”
Born Daniel Benson, BNXN has continued to enjoy fame since establishing himself in the Nigerian music landscape.
In 2021, the songwriter released his first extended play titled ‘Sorry I’m Late’. He unveiled another EP the following year titled Bad Since ’97.
BNXN has also received several awards and recognitions for his craft.
In 2022, the singer won the ‘Next Rated’ award at the 15th edition of The Headies.
