Bayanni, the Mavin Records newly signed artiste, has put out his debut extended play (EP) titled ‘Bayanni’
The artiste announced the release of the four-track eponymous project on Wednesday — a few hours after he was unveiled by Don Jazzy as the newest member of the music label.
The songs in the body of work include ‘Family’, ‘Body’, ‘Ta Ta’, and ‘Kala’.
In ‘Body’, Bayanni confesses his love for a perceived lover. He also talks about his intention to take care of her.
‘Family’ sees him crooning that his desire to make his family live a comfortable life inspires him to work hard and become successful.
“So I carry my family for head/ If them never chop I must double hustle/ Carry my family for head/ If I go dey sleep shebi na me don fumble/ Yeh yeh yeh/ Eminimo mobo shen she mi,” he sings in mixture of English and Yoruba languages.
With his unveiling, Bayanni joins the likes of Magixx, Rema, Ayra Starr, and Crayon on the Mavin Records roaster.
Bayanni earlier appreciated the music executive for the “life-changing opportunity”.
He also disclosed that he has been linked with the record label since 2019 after getting a direct message from Don Jazzy.
