Asake, the fast-rising Nigerian singer, has teamed up with Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning musician, for the remix of his hit single ‘Sungba’.

The ‘Lady’ crooner released the highly anticipated remix in the early hours of Monday.

The less than four-minute track was put out a month after the release of his four-tracked extended play (EP) titled ‘Ololade’.

The remix of ‘Sungba’ was produced by Magicsticks.

“Tell me what you see when you look at me / Sun gbala ja ko ma ju badi / My problem is I too sabi oh/ Pop molly for the pool party oh / Agata oya dapada (Pepper Jor) / Shey you dey whine me ni / You no see Uber oya gbokada / Sure banker you go chop gala dada / Ęlę sungba,” Burna Boy could be heard singing in pidgin English.

Asake, who is currently signed to YBNL, recently recounted how he begged Olamide, the Nigerian rapper, for two years to join his music label.

Born Ahmed Ololade, the singer ventured into music at a very young age. He also showcased his talent through several freestyle videos on social media.

His big break came with the release of his hit song ‘Lady’ in 2020. The song became popular among Nigerian music lovers including celebrities.

Asake is a graduate of theatre and performing arts from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).
