Adekunle Gold, the Nigerian singer, has come through with his highly anticipated album titled ‘Tequila Ever After’.
The ‘Ire’ hitmaker officially released the project during a get-together party in the early hours of Friday.
In the 18-track album, Gold, 36, joins forces with Odumodublvck, Khaid, Simi, and Habib Koite, the Malian singer.
Other artistes enlisted for the project include US singers Pharell Williams, Nile Rodgers, Coco Jones and Khalid.
Gold also teamed up with Ami Faku, the South African songstress, for the music project.
The project consists of songs like ‘Omo Eko’, ‘Do You Mind’, ‘Come Back’, Sisi Ganja’, ‘Kere’, ‘Not My Problem’, ‘Tio Baby’, ‘Chasing Peace of Mind’, ‘Look What You Made Do’, ‘Wrong Person’, and ‘Soro’.
Other tracks in the body of work include ‘Make It Easy’, ‘Falling Up’, ‘To My Own’, ‘All My Life’, and ‘Don’t Be A Baby’.
He had earlier released ‘Ogaranya’ and ‘Party No dey Stop’ — two tracks off the album.
‘Tequila Ever After’ is Gold’s fifth album — after ‘Gold’ (2016), ‘About 30’ (2018), ‘Afro Pop, Vol. 1’ (2020), and ‘Catch Me If You Can’ (2022).
Adekunle Gold gained fame with the release of his hit song ‘Sade’ and a high-life cover of One Direction’s ‘Story of My Life’.
He got signed to YBNL in 2015 but departed from the record label after the expiration of his contract.
Gold would later establish his own label, Afro Urban Records.
In March, the singer was signed to Def Jam Recordings.
