Oladotun Kayode, the media personality, says it is unfortunate that people will think anyone who is rich in Nigeria is into something illegal.
The 37-year-old radio host was reflecting on misconceptions about his personality and penchant of some Nigerians to judge people easily in an Instagram post on Monday.
In the cryptic post, the video jockey and media entrepreneur said he is happy that a few people who truly know him understand what he does for a living.
He said those drawing conclusions about him without making efforts to find out his actual personality are “very ignorant”.
“I’m so glad just a few people who know me, know me. If you don’t know me and have heard only about me, then you conclude, you’re very very ignorant,” he said.
According to him, Nigerians must come to terms with the fact that everyone cannot always be the same and embrace the peculiarity of each person.
“Naija, once you’re rich, you’re different, you’ve a lot of energy, you’re rare, it means you’re doing something illegal. Quite daft,” he said.

Dotun enjoined those who have come under backlash or faced similar misconceptions from those around them to remain true to their identity.
“Encourage a natural…It’s okay to be different and rare! Embrace or encourage what you have and don’t have and use it to your advantage – energy gad…E get why,” he added.
