VeryDarkMan, the activist, has announced that Don Jazzy, the CEO of Mavin Records, donated N100 million to his newly launched non-governmental organization (NGO).

The NGO, which focuses on community development and improving the public school system, received over N33 million in donations within 24 hours of its launch on Saturday.

On Wednesday, the activist raised the alarm after receiving an anonymous N100 million donation, bringing the total balance to N170 million.

However, in a follow-up post on Thursday, he shared a photo purportedly of Don Jazzy’s message and receipt as the donor.

“Morning bro. Just saw your post. Na me send 100m to support. I believe in what you are doing and trust you to be as transparent as you have always been,” the message reads.

“We really need that in our country. I wish you all the best with the project and more blessings to you. E no easy.”

Although the music executive has yet to confirm the development on social media, VeryDarkMan expressed his gratitude in an accompanying caption.

“This is the person that sent my NGO the 100 million naira,” he wrote.

“As you have supported this cause to bring better basic education for our public schools’ children, may God bring long life and good health to you and your household.

“I sincerely have a lot to say to you, sadly I can’t even express the joy I feel inside. God bless you bros. Please join me in saying a prayer for him.”

The NGO has received N175.7 million in donations within five days, according to VeryDarkMan.
