DJ Cuppy, Nigerian disc jockey (DJ), has been accepted into the prestigious Oxford University in the United Kingdom for a master’s degree programme.

The University of Oxford is the oldest varsity in the English-speaking world and is regarded as one of the world’s leading academic institutions.

The 28-year-old entertainer broke the news to her numerous fans in an Instagram post on Friday.

Cuppy shared a video of herself announcing the development to Femi Otedola, her father, and Nana Otedola, her mother, with the pair congratulating her on the feat.

She also accompanied the video with terse posts wherein she expressed her excitement about getting admitted into the prestigious institution.

Details of the offer showed that the ‘Gelato’ singer would be pursuing a master’s degree in African Studies with the programme billed to start on October 11.

“Huge news and I had to tell my parents first! … I’ve been accepted into Oxford University for a Masters!!! This degree is dedicated to @Nana_Otedola & @FemiOtedola  #CuppyOnAMission,” she wrote in one of the posts.

“My proudest achievement to date… Oxford University, see you in October! #CuppyOnAMission.”

In 2015, Cuppy, whose real name is Florence Otedola, earned a master’s degree in Music Business from New York University.

She has continued to pull the strings in the country’s entertainment industry with several hit projects and recognition. The DJ made the headlines recently over her face-off with Zlatan Ibile.
