December is always a unique month. This is due to the fact that it is usually packed with several interesting activities and evergreen moments.
Often called “Detty December” — due to the festivities and liveliness that come with the month — it is a period when families gather, like birds flying south for the winter, in search of a warmth that only loved ones can give.
The month is saturated with thoughts of charity and peace, as we gaze at the oracle of our reflections, hoping our past can provide insight into our future.
This twelfth and last month of the year is a month of concerts in Lagos and Abuja, with parties and endless “turn-ups” tailor-made for the IJGB (I Just Got Back) community.
These are Nigerians who come from the diaspora at the end of every year (like clockwork) to enjoy a good time with their families.
And where there’s a demand for fun and debauchery, Lagos and Abuja — with their penchant for wild nights, chaotic days, and affinity for stars — eagerly supply.
