Dee One, the reality star, has completed his ambitious attempt to set a new world record for the longest stand-up comedy performance.
The marathon act, which began on October 2 at the Pallazzo Lagos in Opebi, Ikeja, concluded on Saturday after an impressive 52 hours and 42 minutes.
A video shared on his Instagram page captured the euphoric moment when fans erupted in celebration as he signed off, surpassing the current record.

The existing Guinness World Record for the longest stand-up comedy marathon is held by American comedian Benny Elbows, who set a time of 40 hours, 16 minutes, and 48 seconds in April 2025.
Dee One’s attempt also comes months after fellow Nigerian entertainer Laff Ijuo aimed for a 50-hour record.
Driven by a desire to “test the limit of possibility,” Dee One described comedy as “a powerful form of healing and connection.”
He emphasised that his ultimate goal was to serve as an inspiration, stating that the record attempt was not just his “journey,” but a demonstration “about showing every dreamer that no stage is too big and no goal is too high”.
His achievement of 52 hours and 42 minutes is now pending official verification and confirmation by the Guinness World Records (GWR) organisation.
