Sophia Momodu, Davido’s first baby mama, says she intends to change their daughter Imade Adeleke’s surname to hers.
In a series of posts via her Snapchat page on Monday, Sophia argued that she has been playing the roles of both parents, hence the need to change Imade’s surname.
“I can’t wait to change her last name,” she wrote.
“I still think Momodu is perfect, as I’m both Mom and Dad.”
Sophia has been vocal about her experiences as a single mother.
Last month, she criticised men who use financial coercion to pressure women into staying in relationships.
She also questioned the justification behind men avoiding their parental responsibilities when their partners choose to move on.
“Why should it be ok for a man to force a woman to handle his responsibilities as a father simply because the woman chooses to move forward & refuses to look back?” she wrote.
Sophia started to gain public attention following her past romantic involvement with Davido.
Their daughter Imade was born in 2015.
Last year, Sophia denied the claim she fought Amanda, another baby mama of the singer, at a nightclub in Ghana.
Rumours had circulated then that the mother of one allegedly engaged Amanda in a fight over the musician.
