David Adeleke, Nigerian Afropop star, has been named among the African celebrities to perform at the 2019 Essence Festival.
Essence Festival is an annual event by Essence Magazine aimed at celebrating African-American culture and music in the US.
Marking 25 years of advancing the African-American music culture, the festival is set to bring renowned African musicians to the spotlight.
“In celebration of 25 years of moving the culture forward, we’re bringing you unforgettable performances from over 80 of the biggest names in music for a weekend of festivities that you and your squad will be talking about for years to come,” Essence said in a statement.
The 2019 event which is packed with lots of entertaining activities will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana, from July 4-7.
Other notable African celebrities included in the lineup for the event are Sauti Sol, Vanessa Mdee, and Nasty C.
