Eedris Abdulkareem, a Nigerian rapper, has called out Burna Boy, Afrofusion singer, over his recent reaction to Davido’s ‘all-time greatest’ claim.

The ‘OBO’ crooner recently left tongues wagging when he christened himself and Wizkid, fellow music superstar, as the “greatest Nigerian musicians of all time“.

Burna Boy, who recently released a single titled ‘Odogwu’ — which means a great man in Igbo language — appeared to have reacted to Davido’s declaration when he hinted that the singer’s achievements were largely influenced by his father’s wealth.

Contributing to the heated debate in a recent interview, Abdulkareem said such comment was indicative of the ‘African Giant’ crooner’s “arrogance”.

According to him, Davido remains the “real Odogwu” of musicians in this generation, citing his impact on the lives of others including Cynthia Morgan.

“Learn to respect your parents. If you (referring to Burna Boy) get to America, you can do all those things but when you are in Africa, take it easy. We have culture and value systems in Africa,” he said.

“You are not the giant of Kogi yet, not to talk of being the giant of Africa. The privileges that you have that made you a superstar today, some people built on it…so take it easy.”

“You’re not the giant of Africa, you’re not the Odogwu. Take it easy with your arrogance. We are Africans. You don’t walk out on your parents. I am not trying to show off with my advice, but I want everyone to see it. I want you to sit down and think about it very well before it’s too late.”

His comment comes about the same time when Cubana Chief Priest, Nigerian nightlife promoter, also shaded Burna Boy because of Davido.
