Hellen Mutimu, the Kenyan woman alleging that Cubana Chief Priest fathered her child, has called on Hope Uzodimma, the governor of Imo state, to intervene in her paternity dispute with the socialite.
Mutimu first made headlines in January when she alleged to have had a brief romantic encounter with Cubana in Lagos in April 2022, resulting in a pregnancy.
She alleged that after giving birth, she made multiple attempts to contact him, but he blocked all channels of communication. Her persistent calls for a paternity test to confirm her claims have so far gone unanswered.
Cubana Chief Priest, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, has denied being the father of the child, dismissing Mutimu’s allegations as “baseless”.
On Mother’s Day, Mutimu took to Instagram to directly appeal to Uzodimma, urging him to persuade Cubana to take responsibility.
She pleaded for financial support for the child and reiterated her demand for a DNA test.
“Please @he_hopeuzodimma of Imo State, I need your help. Talk to Pascal Okechukwu, aka Cubana Chief Priest, to please help his son in Kenya and for the DNA test to be done. @he_chiomauzodimma, bikonu (please), the baby is struggling here in Kenya—no food or anything to feed the boy,” she wrote.
As of the time of this report, neither Cubana Chief Priest nor Governor Uzodimma’s office has responded to Mutimu’s appeal.
