Chude Jideonwo, the media personality, is set to release his much-anticipated book on overcoming depression.
In a recent statement, Jideonwo announced that the book titled ‘How Depression Saved My Life’ will be released in August.
The 40-year-old life coach described the memoir as “my most important message to the world”.
Jideonwo said the content of ‘How Depression Saved My Life’ serves as a healing for him and the world.
He revealed that the publication was coming at a time when he got his first publishing contract in 25 years.
“When I saw this cover for my new book, I was screaming. First, I love it so hard. So hard. Second, I am too excited about this book. This is my most important message to the world today,” he said.
“When I finished writing it, it healed me again. And then I knew, without a shadow of doubt, that the world desperately needs this message. I knew it when I heard clearly the word to write this book.
“I knew it when my publishers confirmed it by giving me my first traditional publishing contract in 25 years. And I knew again when I was done, and I threw my head back and wept.
“This is such a blessing to share with the world. Go pre-order now.”
‘How Depression Saved My Life’ delves into the transformative journey of overcoming hardship and discovering hope amid life’s struggles.
It examines the interconnected themes of triumph, setbacks, self-discovery, and emotional well-being.
The narrative reveals how Chude’s pursuit of outward success — accolades, recognition, and career accomplishments — ultimately left him unfulfilled, challenging conventional notions of achievement.
Jideonwo added that he would no longer speak about the book until after his concert on April 27.
The concert will mark Jideonwo’s first live event, where he will host personalities like Funke Akindele, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Bovi Ugboma, and Jerry Eze.
The book is available for pre-order at book.withchude.com.
