Chris Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Ministry, has tied the knot with his partner amid an ongoing controversy involving Nollywood actress Doris Ogala.
Ogala alleged that she had been in a relationship with the cleric since 2017.
Her claims surfaced last weekend after a video of Okafor’s engagement to another woman began circulating on social media.
The actress alleged that she left her previous marriage at Okafor’s insistence and accused the cleric of betraying her after years of intimacy and assurances of marriage.
She also claimed the situation had taken a toll on her mental and emotional health, alleging that Okafor shared explicit videos of her without consent and subjected her to harassment and financial exploitation.
Ogala alleged that she used her personal funds to assist Okafor and his associates in securing a contract, but was not fully reimbursed.
The actress also disclosed that she has been grappling with suicidal thoughts.
Despite the controversy, photos from Okafor’s white wedding and traditional marriage ceremonies surfaced online on Wednesday.
In one image, the cleric was seen seated beside his bride, dressed in an all-white suit with a black bow tie, while she wore a white wedding gown and held a bouquet of pink flowers.
Another photo showed the bride in a colourful traditional outfit at a decorated venue, surrounded by well-wishers.
The wedding reportedly took place on Tuesday, December 16, with family members and friends in attendance to celebrate the couple.
Meanwhile, Ogala has issued an ultimatum to Okafor, asking him to either marry her or financially “settle” her by purchasing a house, failing which she would pursue legal action.
