American artistes, Chris Brown and Soulja Boy, are fighting over Karrueche Tran, a former love interest of the former.
In what is regarded as the first celebrity feud of 2017, Brown’s rift with Soulja Boy started after the rapper liked an Instagram picture of Tran, a model/actor.
Brown and Tran’s relationship ended two years ago when she discovered that he had a child with another woman.
“Chris Brown just called me and said he wanna fight me because I liked @karrueche picture on Instagram this n**** a b****,” Soulja Boy had said.
Brown responded by saying: “This n***a has an imaginary beef then act like I called him. Never happened… I commented on her pics for this fact only: so that no matter how stupid I looked, she would feel poppin. I have the means and connections to contact her.”
His comments irked Karrueche who slammed both men for dragging her into their feud.
She said: “First off this drama between the both of these two is so ridiculous it makes no sense. We just brought in a new year and this what we’re doing?
“This isn’t cool or funny, it’s draining.. not just for me but for everyone. There’s so much more out there in life than “twitter beefs.” But anyways, second off, trying to make me feel poppin? You’re talking about your old song ‘Poppin’?
“You know what makes me feel poppin? Getting up and going to set, walking in my apartment and seeing my Emmy with my name on it.”
But the rift did not end there.
Chris Brown left Soulja Boy for a minute to attack Karrueche, saying she only got famous by being in a relationship with him.
“No one asked for your opinion. Girl, keep the fame you got and stay classy. Living in this dream world of yours. All your friends are your friends because you were Chris Brown’s girl,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Soulja Boy continued to make videos where he continuously hurled insults at Chris Brown, describing the singer as a bad father and cocaine addict.
In one of the videos, he said: “I’ll embarrass you. I’ll expose you. You are a f*****g crack addict and you can’t take care of your daughter. All you do is do drugs in front of your daughter in the presence 30, 40 gangbangers.”
A subsequent video posted by The Shade Room showed Soulja Boy being attacked while trying to prove his street credibility.
The rapper was filming himself bragging about his invincibility and being from the hood when he was attacked by several men.

As expected, Chris Brown took to his Instagram page to mock Soulja Boy.
“Now, God bless you. God bless you. He gonna cry to court, he gonna cry to court,” Brown said.
Chris Brown has also invited Soulja Boy to a celebrity boxing match.
