Last week, Iyanya disclosed Kcee bought him his first flight ticket from Calabar to Lagos.

DAVIDO: MY DAD BUILT ME NIGERIA’S BEST MUSIC STUDIO WIZKID VISITED

Davido has been in the news in recent times.

In one of his latest interview sessions, the singer said Adedeji Adeleke, his father, once built him the best studio in Nigeria where Wizkid and Dbanj had sessions.

The ‘OBO’ crooner also shocked many of his fans when he revealed that he has another son in the UK named Dawson. 

Davido further revealed he chose music after seeing “girls go crazy” for Wande Coal, Wizkid, and Psquare at a nightclub in the US.

Last week, Odumodublvck, the musician, open up on his ordeal while undergoing oral surgery.

The rapper said he almost died during  the surgery but “God kept me here right now”.

He added that he had the surgery after putting out ‘Declan Rice’, his hit song.

ACE ACTOR DON BRYMO UCHEGBU DIES

Don Brymo Uchegbu, the veteran Nollywood actor, died at the age of 56 last week.

Multiple reports had claimed the actor collapsed in his hotel room in Ahoada, Rivers state after returning from a film set. 

But the narrative was refuted by the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN). 

CHEF DAMI PLANS 150-HOUR COOKING MARATHON 

Damilola Adeparusi, the Nigerian chef, said she is planning to break the Guinness World Record (GWR) for longest cooking marathon by an individual.

Last week, Damilola completed her 120-hour cooking marathon.

On Friday, the chef said she will notify the GWR about her bid to cook for 150 hours. 

She announced this days after Hilda Baci was certified as the record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

KOURTNEY KARDASHIAN EXPECTING A BABY WITH TRAVIS BARKER

Kourtney Kardashian, the US media personality, stunned many when she held a placard at Travis Barker’s concert to announce her pregnancy for him. 

Barker was performing on stage with his band members when Kourtney put up the write-up: “Travis,m I’m pregnant”.

Visibly excited, Barker walked off the stage to share a romantic moment with his wife.

Sylvester Madu took a swipe at movie fans who appeared shocked to see him selling fairly used items in a market in Enugu.

BURNA BOY CANCELS NETHERLANDS CONCERT HOURS AFTER KEEPING FANS WAITING

Burna Boy triggered a wave of reactions from his fans after botching his ‘Love, Damini’ concert in the Netherlands.

The ‘Ye’ crooner was bid to perform at the 41,000-capacity Gelredome Arnhem Stadium on Saturday evening. 

But he cancelled the show after keeping his fans waiting for hours, citing a “number of reasons”.

The musician later apologised and promised to announce a new date for the rescheduled concert.

Bon Bon Entertainment, the organisers of the concert, also apologised to fans and assured them they will get a mail with the details of the rescheduled date.

 

OUTRAGE AS GRAMMYS CALL WIZKID ‘UPCOMING ARTISTE’

Last week, the Recording Academy, organisers of the Grammy Awards, came under heavy backlash on social media when it described Wizkid as an “up-and-coming artiste”.

The award organisers had listed black singers that the world should look out for. The list included Wizkid and Rema.

The post, although deleted, stirred up the pots of unending controversies among Nigerians on social media platforms.

HAPPIE BOYS, OPM PASTOR’S SAGA

Last week, Chibuzor Chinyere, the general overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM), and Happie Boys, the comedy duo, engaged in a heated face-off on social media.

The drama started when the skitmakers revealed that they had dropped out of school in Cyprus, and alleged that their scholarship was discontinued by the cleric.

They also alleged that Chinyere told them to hold on for months when they reached out to him.

The clergy man later said he stopped the programme due to Nigeria’s high exchange rate.

He then offered to transfer their scholarship programme to Nigeria or Benin Republic.

But the boys rejected the offer, adding that they would like to be on their own.
