Burna Boy, the Afro-fusion star, is billed to perform at the 2023 edition of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Organisers of the annual event, on Wednesday, released the full list of the global artistes expected to perform at the event as well as its headliners for the 2023 edition.
The event is slated to run on two consecutive weekends — from April 14 to 16 and then again from April 21 to 23 — at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California.
Burna Boy is the only Nigerian artiste on the line-up. This will also be his first time on the festival schedule since he criticised the organisers in 2019.
The singer was tapped by Coachella, alongside Mr Eazi, to perform at its 2019 edition.
He, however, refused the invitation and lashed out at the printing of his name in small font on the flier of the show, describing himself as an “African giant”.
The singer and songwriter will be joined this year by Gorillaz, Chemical Brothers, Pusha T, Kali Uchis, Chris Lake, Uncle Waffles, Tobe Nwigwe, and a host of other international superstars in the star-studded line-up.
Bad Bunny, Frank Ocean, and Blackpink are the megastars headlining this event.
