Damini Ogulu, Nigerian Afrofusion sensation better known as Burna Boy, has received a platinum plaque for featuring on ‘Own It,’ a song by Stormzy, British rapper.
The award-winning singer took to his social media page to share the feat with his numerous fans.

The post was accompanied by pictures of the plaque and a short note certifying the ‘African Giant’ crooner as the recipient of the honour.
“Presented to Burna Boy to recognise sales in the United Kingdom of more than 600, 000 of the single ‘Own It’ 2019,” the note reads.

‘Own It’ is a song off ‘Heavy Is the Head,’ Stormzy’s second studio album. The track which, also featured Ed Sheeran, English singer-songwriter, was released in November last year.
The feat is the latest in what has been impressive run for Burna Boy who particularly took the world by storm in 2019, and has since continued to blaze the trail.
It also comes about the same time Davido snagged multiple certifications from Sony Music West Africa (SMWA), after three of his projects hit platinum benchmark.
Burna Boy had made the headlines recently after he christened himself the best in the country’s music industry, since Fela Kuti, Afrobeat legend.
