‘Did you make your dress in a poultry farm?’ — Bovi’s epic jokes at #Headies2018

Bovi Ugboma is a funny man, no doubt and the Headies love him. This is his third romance with the music award, although he has only hosted twice.

On the night when the best Nigerian artistes were awarded for their accomplishments in the period under review, Bovi, in trademark style, threw digs and took swipes at anyone and everyone.

From senator Dino Melaye to Psquare to Timaya and even his co-host Seyi Shay, only a few persons were spared from his tongue.

Here are four of his epic jokes on the night.

“Did you make this in a poultry farm?” — Bovi said to Seyi Shay in reference to her feathery white gown, her third outfit of the night.

“Was your daddy an electrician?” — Bovi asked Seyi Shay in reference to her iconic goof of calling an EP(extended play) ‘electric package’:

“Personally, I feel bad that Dino Melaye is not here to perform his hit single ‘Ajekun Iya'” — Bovi’s comment on the senator who is currently on trial for alleged gunrunning.

“By this time next year, we will have Rudeboy and Mr P in the next rated category” — Bovi’s dig at the disbanded Psquare who have now started their careers afresh as solo artistes.
