Black Panther’s Daniel Kaluuya signs production deal with Paramount Pictures

Daniel Kaluuya, a British actor who played ‘W’Kabi’ in Marvel’s 2018 superhero film ‘Black Panther’, has signed a new deal with Paramount Pictures under 59%, his production company.

After signing the exclusive first-look deal with Paramount Players, a film studio division of Hollywood-based media company, the Oscar-nominated film star hopes to “bridge the gap between the next wave of storytellers and studios”.

While reiterating his desire to promote inclusive storylines on a production level, Kaluuya said that the partnership is poised to uphold unbiased narratives and thread along “what is possible”.

“Over the years, I’ve been blessed to make work that speaks to audiences I identify with whilst pushing the envelope on what’s possible,” the 30-year-old actor and writer said.

“59% will be the home to continue that in a producorial capacity, to bridge the gap between the next wave of storytellers and studios. I’m excited that in Paramount Players, I have found a partner that shares the same drive and belief to make cinema that is honest, reflective, inclusive and authored.
