Bigvai Jokotoye, Nollywood actor, has taken to social media to celebrate after being certified as a US citizen.
In a video shared on his Instagram page, the Yoruba movie star could not contain his excitement as he broke the news to his numerous fans.
Jokotoye described himself as the “happiest man on earth” while explaining that he has gone through a lot in life.
The actor also commended the officials for facilitating the process, noting that he was surprised when he was given his US citizenship certificate shortly after his interview.
“Guys, I’m the happiest man right now. If you’re happy for me, God will do the same thing for you. I’m now a US citizen. This morning was my interview for US citizenship,” he said.
“They said the ceremony is in three hours time. But I told them I have a flight to catch up with so they agreed to do my own ceremony.
“I initially thought they were joking until a lady brought my certificate. If you want this, God will do it for you. You can’t understand what I have gone through in life.”
US citizenship can be gotten through four major ways which include by birth, derivation, acquisition and naturalization.
