Tacha Akide, the former Big Brother Naija (BBN) housemate, is set to attempt a new Guinness World Record (GWR) for the most makeover created in a 24-hour.
In a post via Instagram, the reality star shared throwback clips of herself applying makeup on others and on herself, describing the craft as her “first love”.
The attempt, which also serves as a three-day beauty festival, is scheduled for October 10 to 12 at the John Randle Centre, Onikan, Lagos.
Tacha described the festival as more than an event, but a convergence of culture, creativity, commerce, and national pride.
She added that it would also spotlight Nigeria’s beauty industry through trainings, exhibitions, and networking.
“I’m putting together the BIGGEST 3 Days Beauty festival and A Guinness World Record attempt for the most numbers of makeovers in 24 hours!” she wrote.
“Between Oct 10th-12th, 2025 at John Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture & History
“This is more than just a beauty festival, it’s a powerful convergence of culture, creativity, commerce, and national pride. As we attempt to make history with the Guinness World Record for the most makeovers in 24 hours.
“We’re also spotlighting Nigeria’s booming beauty industry and its potential as a driver of economic growth and global influence.
“This is a 3 days round the clock experience for all beauty enthusiasts in makeup, fashion, skincare, wellness, hair and others as we explore through trainings, empowerment workshops, business hacks. exhibitions and networking.”
To set the record, Tacha will have to surpass Sierra Leone’s Mary Yongai, who achieved 111 makeovers in 24 hours by a single artist.
Yongai accomplished the feat in Freetown on April 30, 2024.
However, it remains unclear if the reality TV star has received approval from the Guinness World Records (GWR) to undertake the attempt.
