Pere Egbi, a housemate of the BBNaija season six reality show, has been nominated for ‘Best Actor in a leading role (English)’ for his character in ‘Butterflies’, a Biodun Stephen film.
The Best of Nollywood Awards (BON), organisers of the award ceremony, broke the news via an Instagram post on Saturday.
In ‘Butterflies’, Pere plays the character of a middle-aged man who has to deal with the overbearing and atrocious attitude of his partner.
The 36-year-old reality star was nominated alongside Blossom Chukwujekwu (Hope Spring Eternal), Stan Eze (Rattlesnake), Enyinna Nwigwe (Badamasi), Okey Uzoeshi (Strain), and Uzor Arukwe (Yours Regardless).

Pere, who is currently among the remaining 13 housemates in the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ house, has captured many viewers’ hearts with his dramatic performance on the reality show over the last 7 weeks.
The visual artiste, who doubles as a nurse, is not a newbie in the Nollywood scenes. Asides from his role in ‘Butterflies’, Pere has featured in other Nollywood movies like ‘High Ends’, ‘Chimera’, ‘Gem of the rainforest’, and ‘Till there was you’.
He also starred in one of the editions of ‘Super Story’ titled ‘More than a friend’.
