The organisers of the BBNaija reality TV show have announced that the ninth season will premiere on July 28.

The announcement was made through a post on the show’s website and social media pages on Friday.

It said the premiere will air at 7 pm WAT.

According to the organisers, the latest season promises “double drama, relationships, and huge competition”.

They added that the show will be aired for 71 days.

In a statement via its website, BBNaija said in part: “With new twists and unknown housemates ready to become your new faves, this season promises to be one for the books.

“Expect shocking twists, explosive drama, and alliances that will keep you guessing.

“Biggie is shaking things up like never before, and you won’t want to miss a single moment.”

Auditions for the ninth season began on March 27 and ended on May 4.

Last year’s eighth season featured 20 former housemates from the show’s inception in 2006 through its seventh edition in 2022.

The season concluded on October 1, with Ilebaye Odiniya winning the grand prize.

The reality TV star took home a N120 million worth of prizes.
