Ike Onyeama, an ex-housemate of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), says the show’s organisers “cancelled” him because he refused to follow their bidding.
In a recent Instagram post, the reality star also claimed that social media also tried to “cancel” him on numerous occasions since he participated in the fourth season of the show.
Onyeama, who was also using the opportunity to promote ‘Foreign’, his new single, said he has been working relentlessly for the last 3 years.
He, however, pleaded with his followers to listen to his new music, adding that “it’s back to the street” if the song flops.
“I’m back again. Social media has tried to cancel me so many times since BBN,” he said.
“Africa Magic cancelled me because I refused to kiss a** now. But I’m happy now to share the music I have been working on for so long.
“I haven’t been back home in over three years; chasing this dream, praying to become a success and I refuse to give up.
“Guys, don’t let this one flop. Honestly, if this music doesn’t work out, it’s back to the streets.”
Onyeama had made the headlines over his romantic relationship with Mercy Eke during the 2019 edition of the reality show which she eventually won.
But the duo parted ways last year after Mercy disclosed that she had married — a development which led to a heated exchange between the pair.
Onyeama had said his happiest moment in life was after his last relationship ended. On her part, Mercy had called the relationship a “disaster”.
