BBNaija: My relationship with Wanni not a strategy, says Shaun

Shaun Okojie, the former BBNaija season nine housemate, says his relationship with Wanni while on the show was not a strategy.

The footballer’s run on the show ended last Sunday alongside Handi and Tjay.

The 28-year-old was romantically involved with Wanni during his time on the show. There were however insinuations on social media that the relationship was a strategy.

In an interview with journalists, Shaun denied that his romance with Wanni was a strategic move, insisting that their connection was genuine.

He acknowledged the presence of other romantic interests in the house but emphasized that his connection with Wanni was unique.

“There were many ships and I realized that if anybody’s ship is benefiting them, I don’t think I would have known if it would have been a good strategy or not. I already came with a girl,” he said.

“The easiest strategy would have already been to stick with Victoria in like a romantic way for me. But that did not happen, I think me and Wanni had a more natural connection that we developed in the house.”

Speaking on his plans after the show, Shaun said: “Definitely want to be more successful. I would be doing more of acting”.

“I am also into fashion, so I am going to be pushing my clothing line as well. Those are like the main things that I want to try and accomplish within the next year.”
