As the doors to the fourth season of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) officially open on Sunday, Multichoice Nigeria, entertainment company and organizer of the reality TV show, has upped the ante with the announcement of N60 million worth of prizes for the winner.

According to Multichoice, the ultimate winner of the show would be receiving a grand prize of N60 million — a 33.3 percent increase from the show’s 2018 stake.

The grand prize embodies a N30m cash; a top SUV from Nigeria’s Innoson Motors; a trip to Dubai for two; a home makeover; a year’s supply of Pepsi; a year’s supply of Indomie noodles and Munch It.

Also included in the grand prize is a brand new Oppo mobile smartphone and a bonus prize of two VIP Tickets to a European Football final game.

The opening ceremony will air on Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Urban and Africa Magic Family while the show would span 92 days on BNaija’s dedicated 24-hour live channels to be available on DStv and GOtv packages.

As the opening ceremony kicks off, the 2019 housemates — whose identity are yet to be disclosed — would be unveiled while the house would be declared officially opened.

From the entertainment and telecommunication industry to the fashion; hospitality; and the tourism sector, the Big Brother Naija reality show has generated significant opportunities for both local and international brands.

There is also the writers, producers, directors, cameramen, disc jockeys, technicians and other crew members who are contracted to perform and cover the event.

Sponsorships and product placement for the likes of Pepsi, Heritage Bank, Pay Porte, Bet9ja and other heavy-paying brands, have also amassed a hoard of wealth for both indigenous firms and digital satellite televisions.
