Basketmouth, the Nigerian comedian, has unveiled the details of his third studio album titled ‘Uburu’.
The musician took to social media to share the artwork for the music project.
The album is set to be released via music platforms in October.
“It gives you great pleasure to announce that Uburu is now ready to be heard. Oct 2023. Don’t mean to brag, but I dare you to skip a track,” he wrote.

The project features several top singers, including Peruzzi, Reminisce, Torrian Ball, Timi Dakolo, Falz, Boj, Doctor Sett, Duncan Mighty, Shatta Wale, Bayanni, Laycon and Lojay.
Basketmouth had earlier described music as his first love before he ventured into comedy.
‘Back then, I started with music, I never really left it. I just took a pause and now I am back on it but it does not affect any other thing that I’m doing because they all complement each other,” he had said.
“Right now, I am creating content like ‘Flatmate’, ‘Baba Benji’, ‘Ghana Jollof’, and all these contents require soundtracks. So, in the process of making a soundtrack, I made music.
“I am still a standup comedian, I am still doing it. I am making everything in one unit but people see it as several units but the truth is, the soundtrack compliments the movies.”
‘Uburu’ comes after the success of ‘Horoscopes’, Basketmouth’s sophomore album, released in 2022.
In November 2020, the stand-up comedian also came through with ‘Yabasi’, a soundtrack album for ‘Papa Benji’, his comedy series.
