The trailer for Banana Island Ghost (B.I.G), the first of five co-produced films by Biola Alabi Media (BAM) and Nemsia Films, has been released.
B.I.G is a slapstick movie about a ghost that is scared to go to heaven because he doesn’t have a soulmate, so he convinces God to give him three days to fall in love.
He is paired with the cantankerous firecracker – Ijeoma, played by comedian Chigul – who will do anything to save her father’s house in Banana Island from the bank coming to reclaim it in three days.
Banana Island Ghost also stars Ali Nuhu, Bimbo Manuel, Damilola Adegbite, Dorcas Fapson, Kemi Lala-Akindoju, Patrick Diabuah, Saheed Balogun, Tomiwa Edun, and Uche Jombo.
Commenting on the trailer, Biola Alabi, executive producer of the movie said: “Banana Island Ghost is unprecedented in many regards, and we believe that this trailer will excite viewers, across Nigeria and beyond, to look forward to a rib cracking experience when the movie hits the cinema screens in August.”
Speaking at the trailer release conference, Omorinsojo Spaine, producer of B.I.G and partner at Nemsia Films said, “A lot of work and resources went into making this film, and I am very proud of what we’ve accomplished”.
“The trailer has been hugely applauded and I can’t wait for everyone to see the film in August.”
