Baba Tee: I’ll forgive a cheating partner only on one condition

Babatunde Bernard, the Yoruba comic actor popularly known as Baba Tee, says he will forgive a cheating partner only on one condition.

In an interview with TVC, Baba Tee said he is willing to forgive his partner’s infidelity, even if it results in a child, as long as she is “remorseful”.

He also urged women to leave marriages that reeked of infidelity and maltreatment.

“As a woman, if you know you cannot tolerate your husband’s maltreatment or infidelity, leave the marriage,” he said.

“Personally, there is nothing I cannot keep for a woman who is good to me. If a woman cheats on me and a child comes out of it and I find out, I will forgive her if she is remorseful. I will take the child as my own.”

However, in January, the actor made headlines for claiming cheating is “natural” for men.

He added that just because a man cheats does not necessarily mean that he does not love his wife.

“When a man marries a woman, she is the most special woman to him in his own world. So even when a man is cheating, his mind is still with his wife,” he said.

“Cheating is a man’s next skin whether you like it or not. You call it cheating but it is their next skin.”

Babatunde had first tied the knot with Yetunde Oduwole but the duo would later part ways.

His union with Dupe Odulate, his second wife, ended similarly in 2019.

The actor is believed to be with his third woman.
