The veteran singer took to his social media handles to share photos of himself with a battered face and alleged that the soldiers humiliated him and got away with it.

“I was humiliated by unknown soldiers. I tried to force them to the barracks but a female soldier interfered and allowed them to escape,” the ‘Dem go dey pose’ crooner claimed.

“The case is under investigation, thanks to Ojo Army barrack that took the case on their shoulder. I pray the soldiers would surely be caught and brought to book.”

In February 2016, a video of a female soldier beating a civilian for allegedly complimenting her beauty went viral on social media and raised mind-boggling questions about the Nigerian army.

A similar situation played out at the Maraba area of Abuja, where some soldiers were caught on camera brutalizing a civilian who they had stripped naked and claimed was a robber.

Although the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) had acknowledged the incident and vowed to probe the torture of the civilians by cadets after the heated social media outraged that ensued, TheCable reported months after that the said victim was yet to get justice.
