The organisers described the workshop as a step forward for AVRS in its commitment to excellence in managing audiovisual works in Nigeria.

Michael Akpan, the former regulatory head of the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC), trained the participants on the ‘Basics of Copyright and Neighbouring Rights’ and ‘Legal & Regulatory Framework of Copyright in the Film Industry in Nigeria’.
