Bolanle Austen-Peters, founder of creative arts space Terra Kulture, has played an important role in the revitalisation of Nigeria’s theatre arts and creative sector through a combination of entrepreneurial and artistic vision.
Her stage productions — SARO the Musical, Waka the Musical, and Fela and the Kalakuta Queens — have sold out within and outside Nigeria.
Five years ago, she founded Bolanle Austen-Peters Production, the eponymous company film production company behind 2015 movie, ’93 Days’, which explored the Ebola virus crisis of 2014.
Austen-Peters is back again, this time as a movie director behind the upcoming movie, ‘Bling Lagosians’, which is also produced by the BAP Production.
The movie features a cast of popular Nollywood faces, such as Monalisa Chinda, Toyin Ibraham, Denola Gray, Gbenga Titiloye, Fathia Williams, Chioma Akpotha, Sharon Ooja, Alex Ekubo, Broda Shaggi, amongst many others.
Details are yet to be released about the film as, apparently, production just began.

But from an Instagram page dedicated to behind the scene shots of the film, one can deduce that, true to its name, ‘Bling Lagosians’ is based on the lives of Lagos’ ostentatious middle and upper class.

Fingers crossed on this one.
